You can loop a segment of timeline by left clicking on the piece of timeline that you want to loop through. The length of the looping segment is determined by the lead in and lead out time, these can be changed by clicking and dragging the left and right edges of the looping segment.  To learn more go to “How do I use the Timeline”.

The “Find” button will play the Yellow play line and move the timeline to where the Yellow play line is. The play line may be playing in a looping segment or it may be playing behind the warp line at its re-set delay time.  To learn more go to the “How do I use the Timeline” in the online help or in the manual.

 

hmtoggle_plus1What is Lead-in and Lead-out?

The Lead-in time is the time before the time-point you left mouse clicked or when you pressed a Tag button.  The Lead-out time is the time after the time-point you left mouse clicked or when you pressed a Tag button. hmtoggle_plus1Why is the Warp button greyed out?

You are probably in Project mode and are reviewing a video you captured previously.  You can’t have a Warp concept when playing back a video file as the warp is based in real-life time. To learn more go to the “How do I use the Timeline” in the online help or in the manual.

 

hmtoggle_plus1My video looks awful, why?

There can be a variety of reasons including bad light, wrong video settings in the Timewarp Setup screen, a low resolution camera.  To learn more go to the “How do I get my camera to work” in the online help or in the manual and the Getting good video article in the Resource Documents section of the online TimeWarp Support Centre.

 

hmtoggle_plus1What do the thumbnails in the timeline actually represent?

The thumbnails are taken from the actual video and are placed on the Timeline relative the point they were extracted.  This gives you a good visually way to find things in the very long files.  To learn more go to the “How do I use the Timeline” in the online help or in the manual and make sure you camera is set up properly.  Also increase the light e.g. inside a gym can have very bad light) and check you camera’s quality.  Also refer to the Getting good video article in the Resource Documents section of the online TimeWarp Support Centre.
