hmtoggle_plus1Nothing appears in the Video Source pull down menu, what has happened?

Check that your camera is connected to the PC and that the connections in the camera and the PC are tight (i.e. not loose inside the ports). Also if you are using an AV to USB converter make sure you have installed the drivers for the converter and the all the connections are connected and tight.  To learn more go to  “How do I get my camera to work” in the online help or in the manual.

Not in the current version.

 

hmtoggle_plus1Do I need to do anything with the Video Settings?

Usually you will, except for MiniDV cameras connected via Firewire as there will be no settings to change for these.  If you are using an AV to USB converter you will probably need to set the resolution and format.  To learn more go to  “How do I set up to capture video” in the online help or in the manual.

 

hmtoggle_plus1I can’t see any video in my preview window, what can I do?

Check that your camera is connected to the PC and that the connections in the camera and the PC are tight (i.e. not loose inside the ports). hmtoggle_plus1I want to set my ‘Warp’ (delay) to a number that is not on the pull down, how can I do this?

You can do this my selecting the number from the drop down list that is closest to the number you have in mine. Once you are in the programme you can change the delay to any number between 1 and 99 seconds.

 

hmtoggle_plus1My project is not in the Recent Projects list, can I still access it?

Yes if you have saved the project it will be saved in your My Documents folder. You will be able to browse to there and select the .twp file that you want to open.

 

hmtoggle_plus1Why do some Video Settings work and others don’t?

USB Converters have a variety of settings in an attempt to handles a wide variety of cameras.  If a setting does not match your camera it will probably not work so you need to change your setting.  To learn more go to  “How do I set up to capture video” in the online help or in the manual.

 

hmtoggle_plus1Can more than one Video Setting work?

Yes but there will only be one optimal one.  If you video looks really pixelated then you may have the resolution set too low. To learn more go to the “How do I set up to capture video” in the online help or in the manual.

For Pal cameras select YUY2 720x576 @ 25Hz.  For NTSC cameras select YUY2 720x480 @ 30 (29.97)Hz.  To learn more go to  “How do I get my camera to work” in the online help or in the manual.

 

hmtoggle_plus1How accurate is the maximum capture time predictor?

It varies on many things but probably within 15 minutes.

 

hmtoggle_plus1Will Timewarp fill up my computers hard disk and stop it from working properly?

No, TimeWarp will stop when there is 2G of free space left on your hard disk.  This gives you room to continue to manage files etc.

 

hmtoggle_plus1Can I export my whole project as one big video file?

No, not at this time

 

hmtoggle_plus1What happens if sell my PC without first returning my license to Siliconcoach?

If you fail to return your license to Siliconcoach so you can use it again on another PC then you will need to purchase a new license.  Contact support@siliconcoach.com  before selling your computer.

 

hmtoggle_plus1What happens if my PC is stolen?

The expectation is that your insurance will cover the replacement cost and you will purchase the software again. Upon notification of loss, we will block your old activation and issue a new one when you purchase again.

 

hmtoggle_plus1What happens if my Hard Drive crashes?

In the case that your hard drive cannot be recovered by simple reformatting and the disk has to be replaced then you will need to provide Siliconcoach with proof of purchase for the replacement drive and we reserve the right to ask you to run diagnostic software on the PC to confirm that the drive matches that as specified in the receipt

 

hmtoggle_plus1Can I move my license between computers?

Not at this time.  We are using a new registration system and it does not allow the user to move the license themselves.  If you need to move you license you will need to contact support@siliconcoach.com.

 

hmtoggle_plus1What if I use Ghost or similar to image my PC and end up wiping my license because of a low level format?

If you choose to image your PC then you must contact sup[port@siliconcaoch.com before doing so. Activation is very fast and simple once you've completed it once. Failure to return your license to Siliconcoach may result in you having to purchase a new license.
