Centralised License pool - is held on a web based server, no configuration or set up on your organisations server, no more locating the individual machines that have the licenses "locked" on to.No transfer or reset licenses as machines are changed etc.
Self Manage - The users of the license pool manage themselves there is no hands on management of the license pool required.
Multiple site - You can load your siliconcoach software application (s) onto multiple local PC's. Your entire classroom or coaching staff can then access your license pool from multiple sites.
Multiple access - You could hold a pool of licenses accessible to all users within an organisation (with a valid login ID) using the software from any PC anywhere with an internet connection (licenses can be "checked out" for field use) this means 1 license can service multiple users, creating efficient use of the licenses in your license pool.
Return on investment - A license liaison person will receive notifications from the system when particular events occur, the emails are informational and do not require any action but notify of usage - any license irregularities and supply vs. demand.
Security - Users can be given access to the application from their personal computer via their login details and at any time the administrator can deny their access by removing them from the list of registered users.Ideal for managing changes of students between years but giving them easy access while they are at the institution.
License types
Checked out - Licenses can be "checked out" for specified periods so a coach or analyst going out into the field where there is no internet connection can check out a license to a particular PC and use the application for the length of the "check out" period without connecting to the internet. Once the check out period expires the license automatically returns to the central pool a great reduction in administration time.
Floating - this license requires a connection to the internet at all times. When the user quits the application, the license is returned to the server and is immediately available for reuse.
Advantages to you
Group licensing Licenses can be allocated to particular groups in your organisation in different ways. A typical scenario might be that you have 30 licenses of siliconcoach Pro and you want to make sure that a license is always available for each relevant staff member and that staff members can check out licenses while students cannot. On that basis we can setup a Staff group and a Student group and assign each an organisation ID (which acts like a password). The Staff group would have a pool of licences for a product on a one to one basis and the licences would allow checkouts up to a specified number of days. The Student group would have fewer licenses than the total number of students (in line with your expectation for required licenses at anyone time) and the licences would be restricted to the floating type whereby an internet connection was required while using the application so that the license could be returned to the server when the application was closed. This is illustrated in the table below:

Simple system use

- Login ID's will be created with in the setup process and "groups" can be created
- Download siliconcoach product(s) onto all local PC's that may be used - remember this can be multiple sites
- When siliconcoach product(application) is launched you are asked to login via the web based server (with a valid login ID)
- Based on original set up you may "check out" the license for use in the field until check out period has expired when the license will automatically return to the license pool
