Kristin School

Kristin School is a progressive, innovative 'lap-top school', catering for children from Year 0 to 13. One prerequisite for running an institute with a reputation for innovation, is running up-to-date courses using state-of-the-art technology.

Capturing and retaining students interest and focus is an integral part of successful learning. Trevor Hayes, Head of Deparetment, Physical Education and Health at Kristin School noticed an immediate change in the behaviour and focus of students when they began to use Siliconcoach.

"Not that their behaviour was bad" remarks Trevor, "but their engagement and self motivation was boosted. Siliconcoach is so easy to use and the technique feedback encourages you to use it. The quality of the work and depth of the student's analysis with this tool is the best I have ever had.

"Siliconcoach software has been used in the school over the last 5 years for many projects, predominantly with the Level 3 NCEA classes. Students are asked to design a programme for improvement in golf, and Trevor also uses it with Level 1 and 2 courses to analyse speed in different forms of motion.

"This has been helpful to explain and show various biomechanical concepts", explains Trevor who has found Siliconcoach to be an invaluable tool which he uses with the athletics team and high jumpers to improve their technique.

The benefits from using Siliconcoach software speak for themselves - engaged, focused student, quality written work and improved physical performances sealing Siliconcoach's position as an excellent teaching tool for both professional athletes and students alike.
